I am a registered psychotherapist and counsellor located in the Adelaide Hills. I work with Individuals, Couples, Families and Adolescents covering a wide range of issues and concerns.
As a therapist, I draw on the richness of both my personal and professional experiences, and also my extensive training in the field. I have a profound respect for each person's experience and journey, and I am committed to providing a safe, confidential and non-judgemental space for therapeutic exploration.
Before becoming a therapist, I was a professional classical musician and never imagined that I could want to do anything other than play music. As time went by, something else began to call me and I embarked upon a journey of self-discovery through study and personal experience. I have since explored many different paths of philosophy, spirituality and other aspects of this existence that we all share, yet experience so uniquely.
My formal training includes comprehensive theoretical and experiential study. The experiential component of my study was important to me as I believe a therapist can only be effective if they have engaged in their own personal development and self-awareness. I have specialised training in Gestalt Therapy and also Group Therapy, and am currently undertaking a PhD in Clinical Psychology. I regularly engage in both personal and professional development and I am a professional member of the Counselling Association of South Australia (CASA) and the Psychotherapy and Counselling Federation of Australia (PACFA).
